13th Night—Twilight Galaxy

“Evvin, darling!”

The Incubus’s voice rang through the shop’s sales floor. Soon, the well-pierced and increasingly well-groomed man appeared before him, smiling and waving. His eyes held a sheepish spark in them.

Dhiar threw his arms around Evvin, pulling him close and pressing a kiss to his lips. Just for a moment, he lingered; just a little longer than necessary.

“How’s business been?” He ran his fingertip along Evvin’s ear, around the bumps and curves of his many rings and studs. “Sorry to have stayed away so long. I intended to just go and come back, but well… you know how one thing leads to another. Got a regular order out of it.”

Evvin slid his arms along Dhiar’s shoulders, leaning in for another sweet kiss, then another. “Anton came by, so I… did my best to help him keep himself fresh. Just in case you sprang a pop quiz on him.”

“Oh, did you now…” Continue reading Incubus Tales: Chapter 13

12th Night—Black Sheep

“More! More!” Dhiar felt Lothring inside him, deep inside. And this time, it was so hot, churning inside as it filled him. He hummed little moans of pleasure, slowly licking his lips.

The other man panted, though he did not strictly need to breathe. He grinned wickedly down at the Incubus, chest rising and falling. His eyes smouldered, fire dancing within their ruby depths. He liked that Dhiar’s eyes were almost the same colour as his own.

“Ohh… more…” Dhiar reached up to run a hand along Lothring’s side, laughing deep, a rumbling vibrating in his throat. “More…” Continue reading Incubus Tales: Chapter 12

11th Night—Help, I’m Alive

This part of the city wasn’t really a proper part of the city. It had been, once, but with the migration—a slow migration, given the general longevity of its inhabitants—it was simply left to deteriorate, to become as dilapidated and abandoned as it had. It was easy to see that the place had once been grand and beautiful. It still possessed a certain beauty, but one tinged with sadness; nothing new had been built in ages.

The primary reasoning behind this was that it had become a kind of relic itself, and home to relics. The oldest vampire of the city, the most ancient demon, could not compare to the age of the youngest revenant. Even if physically they remained young, there was something about them… something about their dark eyes, their pallid, cool bodies… the way they moved, the unnatural silence with which they seemed to do everything. 10th Night—Mercenary

It was raining again.

It had been raining for some time. At least there was never any hail. But whenever it rained, it covered the whole city like a massive sheet of water. Everything glowed with the bouncing raindrops, white clouds of mist drifting off into nothing with every surface they hit.

“You’ve never asked.”

Dhiar turned his head. He had seated himself in the front window, to watch the rain. Evvin was walking out from behind the silk screen, slowly towards him. To join him. Continue reading Incubus Tales: Chapter 10

9th Night—Funplex

Dhiar’s hands moved slowly, gliding across Anton’s fine clothing. First he eased his jacket off. Next, the waistcoat, followed by the cravat. The shirt was especially easy, more of an old-style garment, laces rather than buttons. Trousers, socks and garter, and at last the shorts underneath, unassuming but fine, a light white cotton with blue and orange vertical stripes. They were thick enough to be modest, thin enough to make out everything beneath.

Not that it was difficult. The vampire was especially well-endowed. When the shorts came off, it became perfectly clear to Evvin what he had been hiding. His eyebrows raised at the baron’s bouncing length. Even if he had been a bit aroused by the Incubus blood’s gifts and the sensual strip, it was no less impressive. 8th Night—Edge

“Evvin, you look so cute in glasses.”

The words from Dhiar took Evvin by surprise, and his cheeks turned a slight pink. “Thanks… um…” He quietly pulled his solid black glasses off, sliding them into the soft case and setting it aside.

Addressing the unspoken question, Dhiar motioned with a flourish of the wrist to the handsome blond man beside him. Handsome, and very pale. Continue reading Incubus Tales: Chapter 8

7th Night—Polite Dance Song

Dhiar sipped at a mixed drink, full of sweetness and fruit. He could barely even taste the alcohol, which was the best way to have it; no-one except a real alcoholic—or a connoisseur, as the term tended to be softened—actually wanted to taste the booze. It was all the same to him, tasting it or not tasting it, but on the whole he preferred the fruity bouquet. He had a sweet tooth, and fruit satisfied it much more perfectly than most confection.

The festivities were nothing short of marvellous. It was one of the many and frequent holidays celebrated in the city, and some of the vampires had decided to throw a ball for it. Obscure holiday, much like the Yuletide in sentiment and decking, and so Dhiar had thrown on a green and red ensemble, mostly crushed velvet and dainty foppish fare. 6th Night—La La La

Was this what made a kept man? Evvin arranged the elegant glass phials of oil on the shelf. His mind was never entirely on work like this. Either Dhiar distracted him, or something else did. Tedious work never kept his concentration long. Still, the atmosphere of Phantasies calmed his mind and made it easier. He could appreciate the pleasant qualities effortlessly now.

He was dressed better than he had ever been, fed better than he had ever been… still a bit bony, he had gained some weight. But Dhiar only fawned over him more. It wasn’t like this with the humans in the city, or the vampires for example. It was easy to criticise someone for being heavier than you when you don’t actually have to eat food. 5th Night—Get to Burning

“You’re an amazing cook, Dhiar!” Evvin rubbed his full stomach, smiling appreciatively to the Incubus seated next to him.

In front of them, on the coffee table in the centre of the sofa and chairs, sat a clay pot, and in it rested the meagre remains of the broth and fragments of food. The room still bore the comforting aroma of kabocha and tofu. Continue reading Incubus Tales: Chapter 5

4th Night—A Case of You

Dhiar wished he smoked. He could start, he knew, but he didn’t really want to. It’s not that he had any concerns for his body—he could manipulate every part of it, if need be—but he simply didn’t like the taste.

Incense was a different thing altogether. His fingers slipped into the little paper wrapper and pulled out a stalk, setting it in its holder. The box of matches made rushing sounds like a rain stick when he picked it up. He clasped a single wooden match with his fingernails and drew it out, holding it more firmly to strike it, and then to light the tip of the incense. Continue reading Incubus Tales: Chapter 4
