We’re joining Dale Cameron Lowry and Olivia Helling‘s #CHECHENRAINBOW project this month and donating all proceeds from sales of Ultimate Wired Hard in May to Rainbow Railroad, an organization that helps LGBTQ people escape persecution. Have a look at the list of participants for opportunities to help people in urgent need by snapping up lots of great queer-themed books!
This past weekend at the Fetish Fair Fleamarket in Rhode Island, Circlet’s founder Cecilia Tan got together with two of our authors, Midori and Laura Antoniou, to talk Patreon and crowdfunding. Each of these three women has their own Patreon campaigns and of course Circlet Press has one of our own! Become a Patreon supporter and for as little as a dollar a month you can receive all kinds of perks from us or each of these fantastic folks.

Vinnie Tesla’s novella of mad science, libidinousness, and…ducks?? is now available as its own e-book! Previously appearing in Up for Grabs and The Erotofluidic Age, The Ontological Engine has been singled out for praise by reviewers who called it “bizarre and hilarious,” “magnificent,” and “excellent.”
Daedalus Tesla just wants to be left to his scientific research. The problem is, his Ontological Engine can only be powered by human beings in a state of extreme sexual excitement. And once you have one or two of those strapped down in your laboratory, people do start to talk.
To make matters worse, the ontological forces he is studying are strange and unpredictable. And the line between experimenter and experiment may blur quite unexpectedly…
Read on for a hot and humorous excerpt:
…Two days later, Victor notified me that Miss Pertwee would be visiting for a further tour of the grounds.
“Alone?” I asked, surprised at his resource.
“I assured the vicar that my patron, the esteemed and wealthy Daedalus Tesla, would be in attendance at all times.”
With diligence, we completed several new, more robust Erotometers before the appointed time. We were upstairs in time to receive our guest, who, removed from her father’s baleful penumbra, proved herself to be a reasonably charming young lady, bright and warm of manner, albeit with a sprinkling of freckles about her nose that bespoke an unseemly degree of exposure to sunlight.
After a short time, I excused myself, citing pressing work, and admonished the youths to be on their very best behavior.
Our reader survey has been getting us lots of fascinating and useful data about what you guys enjoy. (And lots of sweet compliments–we can’t get enough of those either!)
One thing that caught our eye is that among the suggestions in the “books you’d like to see” field are several that we have actually already published. On consideration, this makes sense–our catalog is large and kind of messy; and we take pride in publishing books that are hard to categorize.
So we thought we’d try to close that gap. Leave a comment here–anonymously, pseudonymously, or regularnonymously as you prefer–with something you’d like to see: a theme, a kink, a tone, a setting–whatever. We’ll consult our editors and let you know if we have a book that matches what you’re looking for. And if we don’t, we promise to bring up every suggestion at our editorial retreat in April. If we do a book based on your idea, we’ll send you a free copy.
We’re giving away three print copies of Elizabeth Schechter’s new fantasy gay BDSM erotic romance novel Heart’s Master over on Goodreads! Entering to win is totally free.
Come hang out with us at the Arisia science fiction convention in Boston next weekend!
On Saturday the 14th, from 4-6 PM, at Suite 406-407 of the Westin Boston Waterfront Hotel, come get your tea on with the authors, editors, and fans of Circlet Press. In addition to tea, we will have many books for you to browse, buy, and/or get signed; and of course ample supplies of sparkling repartee.
Hey, we’re polling our readers to find out more about your tastes in erotic ebooks. The survey is quick and (we think) kind of fun. Take a look!
Give the gift of smut this holiday with our two ebook gift certificates. For $2.99, you get a code good for any one Circlet e-book, most of which usually sell for $6-7. Or, for $9.99, you get any four Circlet e-books. At these prices, you may need to get yourself a little treat as well.
You can email your friend the certificate, print it out and stuff it in their stocking, or, if you’re a secret admirer, drop us a line and we’ll mail them the certificate ourselves.
(if you’d rather give Circlet books in print, we just set up a list of our current offerings that you may find helpful)
If you’re introducing your friend to Circlet, you might want to include a recommendation for what books to get. Here are a few suggestions:

EDIT: Given how this election has gone (and the potentially devastating effects it will have on the marginalized in our communities including lesbian, gay, and bisexual people, as well as victims of sexual assault, gender non-conforming folks, all of whom need and deserve sexual agency and equal space as human beings to claim our right to erotic expression) I’m extending the sale on Apocalypse Sex, Like an Iron Fist, and The Velderet until the end of the week. -ctan
Okay folks, as the campaign season has its finale, some of us could use a little escape into a fictional dystopia for a change. To help you out I’ve not only put a full chapter of THE VELDERET below for you to enjoy reading, we’ve put several of our books with a more political bent on sale just until the election is over! You’ll find these sale prices popping up on other ebook sales sites, too, but only here on Circlet.com can you get the added bonus of getting all three for only $2.016 (see what I did there?) — Just use coupon code ERECTIONDAY (note spelling) upon checkout and discount will be applied on these lovely titles:
LIKE AN IRON FIST edited by Katherine Bergeron and Cecilia Tan
We figure if any tinpot dictator is going to grab women by the pussy, this book’s title suddenly becomes even more apt.
APOCALYPSE SEX edited by Jennifer Levine
Here’s hoping it only FEELS like the end of the world right now…right?
by Cecilia Tan
Want to know why there are two different versions of the Velderet book cover? Because this book’s cover, which deals with questions of censorship and policing sexual behavior in a utopia (or is it a dystopia…haha) and was ON THE SHELF in major chains like Borders and Barnes & Noble ever since the year 2001, was suddenly deemed OBSCENE by Amazon. Yes, that black and white figure you see who is probably about 20 pixels tall on your screen is POSSIBLY A NAKED WOMAN. We literally had to erase her from the cover. A perfect metaphor for what’s going on in the book.
With their own demise staring them in the face, the characters in Apocalypse Sex all come to the same conclusion: it's time to have the best sex of their lives. Inhibitions are cast aside and fantasies are fulfilled as the doomed chase down their deepest desires. With stories by J. Daniel Sawyer, Elizabeth Coldwell, Elizabeth Schechter, Beverly Langland, and David Hubbard.
Seven authors investigate sex in the shadow of totalitarianism in Circlet's latest anthology. In the tradition of 1984, The Handmaid's Tale, and Brave New World, all of which dealt with sexuality in some form, these stories explore the seething sexuality under the thumb of oppression. Includes Eric Del Carlo, Nobilis Reed, Angelia Sparrow, Peter Tupper, Monique Poirier, & more.
Kobi tried not to hurry. He was vain, he knew it, and he knew how silly he looked when he tried to walk too fast, but the scrap of paper in his pocket felt like a white hot star; surely everyone could see it. In reality, it was Kobi’s curiosity that was burning. He gave up trying to look graceful and broke into a jog.
The street was nearly deserted at this hour, anyway. The red moon had set and the white moon was rising behind him. He had spent a long time at the Velderet after his cybersex session, thinking and drinking. Most of the windows were dark in the clean, white domiciles he passed; even the buildings seemed like they were asleep. For Kobi, it only reinforced the feeling that he was no longer a part of the Bellonian mainstream. By his own admission he was different, a kind of sexual outlaw. He had desires and dreams and fantasies that were inadmissible to others; he was now an outsider. He decided he liked this feeling.
Our third enormous five-book bundle is out at last!
A gay globe-hopping steampunk swashbuckler (with chocolate). A taut detective tale of murder and hidden identities, set in the sleazier districts of cyberspace. A contemporary college student in love with a shapeshifter. A Mongolian shaman navigating the modern leather underground. Anything is possible in a Circlet M/M romance, and only thing certain is that it will be scorching hot.
For a limited time Circlet Press is offering five of its wildest Male/Male erotic romance books for the price of one:
Chocolatiers of the High Winds by H. B. Kurtzwilde, a 2013 Lambda Literary Award finalist, is a Steampunk story about two old school friends with a special bond, an airship, and a confectionary empire, centered on a Confederate south that never was. A rollicking adventure, full of derring-do, vivid characterization, and, of course, lots of sex.
Simulacrum by Rian Darcy is an ingeniously plotted Cyberpunk detective story about an LA cop and a programmer hunting a serial killer through the sex clubs and false identities of virtual reality.
Faewolf by D. M. Atkins and Chris Taylor is the raw, steamy, and emotionally intense story of a Santa Cruz college student and the lupine shapeshifter to whom he feels an uncontrollable attraction.
Leather Spirit Stallion, by Raven Kaldera, a 2015 Lambda Literary Award finalist, is about a modern day Mongolian shaman in California. After he uses his shamanic abilities to save the life of a young man, they enter into a passionate BDSM relationship.
Charming, edited by Darcy and Jen Levine, a 2016 Lambda Literary Award finalist, is a collection of modern gay retellings, continuations, or reinterpretations of traditional fairy tales.
All five books are full of bold characters, exciting adventure, and intense sex, and the bundle is only available for a limited time!
